Cesar is an Independent Director of ICTSI* since February 15, 2019. He is also the Chairman of the Related Party Transactions Committee; and a member of Audit Committee, Corporate Governance Committee, Environment, Social and Governance Sub-Committee, and Board Risk Oversight Committee of ICTSI*.

Concurrently, he is an Independent Director of Manila Water Company, Inc.*; a Director of Semirara Mining and Power Corp.*, Petroenergy Resources Corp.*, Concepcion Industrial Corp.*,  DM Consunji Inc., and The Country Club; a Chairman of Buenaventura Echauz and Partners, Inc.; a Vice Chairman and Director of DMCI Holdings, Inc.*; a Founding Chairman of Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc.; a Trustee of Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, and ICTSI Foundation, Inc.; and an Independent Trustee of Manila Water Foundation.

Cesar is a former Director of Philippine American Life Insurance Co., AG&P Co. of Manila, Ayala Corporation*, First Philippine Holdings Corp.*, Philippine Airlines*, Philippine National Bank*, Benguet Corporation*, Asian Bank, Ma. Cristina Chemical Industries, Paysetter International Inc., Maibarara Geothermal Inc., Manila International Airport Authority and Shell Group of Companies.

In 1991, Cesar was made Honorary Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Mr. Buenaventura received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines in 1950, and his Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering majoring in Structures from Lehigh University Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1954, as a Fulbright scholar.
