10 months into 2021, CMSA handles 1 million TEUs

With just two months remaining before the start of another year, Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) has already managed to handle one million TEUs.

CMSA reached the milestone on October 19 as it operated on the 9,200-TEU capacity boxship CMA CGM Missouri. The achievement was possible thanks to all the workers, whose hard work reflected teamwork, professionalism, and good team management.

With this achievement, CMSA maintains its investment plans to build, equip and operate the area assigned by the Federal Government through API Manzanillo. By the end of November, new machinery and equipment will further strengthen the terminal’s daily operation and improve the movement of containerized cargo.

CMSA commits to continuously improve its processes and work closely with every stakeholder in the supply chain to competently address the increase in volume due to the current imbalance in global trade. This commitment forms part of the company’s efforts to establish the terminal and the Port of Manzanillo as the standard for port operations in Mexico.
