BGT handles oil and gas cargo for BGC expansion project

Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT), in collaboration with DSV/Panalpina and Al-Rashed United Shipping Services, Co., recently handled a shipment for the expansion of Basra Gas Company (BGC).

BGT has established itself as the market leader in handling project cargo for oil and gas sector, which continues to grow. The company’s unparalleled operational service and focus on safe cargo handling makes it the preferred terminal in Umm Qasr.

One of the largest gas-flaring reduction projects in Iraq, BGC is helping the country meet its growing energy demand while lessening pollution. Gas-flaring is one of the biggest sources of pollution in Iraq.

The expansion project will increase BGC’s capacity to process an additional 400 million standard cubic feet of gas per day from nearby producers. It also aligns perfectly with BGT’s own vision to create a positive impact on Basra’s economic development through job creation and environmental conservation.
