CMSA announces Carrera Contecon 2022

Contecon Manzanillo is bringing back Carrera Contecon on 6 November, two years after the COVID-19 pandemic prompted the cancellation of all public events.

Now on its fifth installment, Carrera Contecon is an annual running event organized by CMSA. The race has been a benchmark for charity events in the state of Colima since the race’s inception. 

With “Run for Education” as the theme of this year’s race, CMSA is donating MXN1 million for the repair of school buildings in the city that sustained damages from recent natural disasters. 

The race is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants for the three-, five- and 10-kilometer categories. In addition, children aged four to 14 years old can also participate in special categories in hopes that they will develop interest in sports and charity.

CMSA extends its gratitude to CIMA Group for being the official sponsor of Carrera Contecon 2022.
