CMSA reaches 7M TEU milestone

Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) achieved a new milestone with the handling of its seven millionth TEU since starting operations in Mexico’s most important port in 2013.

The seven millionth TEU was handled during the call of CMA-CGM CHENNAI in June. 

The milestone makes a significant contribution to the regional leadership of the Port of Manzanillo. The port placed first among the busiest ports in Mexico and fifth in the region according to the recently released 2021 port rankings by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbbean (CEPAL).

CMSA, the only terminal at the Port of Manzanillo with the capability to expand its facilities to support growing demand, will play a pivotal role in helping the port maintain its position as the country’s most important port.

The seven million TEU milestone, which coincided with the Navy Day celebrations in Mexico, was possible thanks to all the employees who work with the company’s value system that is based on commitment, transparency, collaboration, agility, positive attitude and passion.
