ICTSI continues support for blended, distance learning

International Container Terminal Services, Inc., through the Parola Inter-Agency Network, donated heavy duty photocopying machines and other related supplies to support the modular distance learning programs of Jose Abad Santos High School and Rajah Soliman Science and Technology High School in Manila.

For the second year since the pandemic started, ICTSI continues to assist these schools in implementing distance learning.  While the Manila Division of City Schools have already provided learning materials, teachers are still given the opportunity to develop and implement additional needs-based materials for their students.  The donated equipment, which come with lifetime repair and service warranties to ensure sustainability in the years to come, will go a long way in the reproduction of these materials for distribution to students.

Aside from donating photocopiers and school supplies, ICTSI also partnered with Puso sa Puso Edukasyon Inc. (PSPEI) to help the facilitate the latter’s Alternative Learning System (ALS) program for interested learners in the Parola community.

Through the partnership, ICTSI is supporting 30 ALS learners at the PSPEI learning facility by providing them with prepaid load allowance to ensure that they can participate in online classes.  The Company is also shouldering a year’s worth of postpaid internet service to ensure that PSPEI teachers can facilitate classes online.

ICTSI remains committed to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #4, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
