For the opening conference, Phillip Marsham, ICTSI ROHQ chief operations advisor for MICT & MHC, delivered the welcome remarks:  “Our industry rises above the challenges, especially in the last few years. We should feel proud of our ports, logistics, and shipping, and what we’ve done in helping the economies survive, opening the supply chains and most importantly ensuring that supplies are delivered to people throughout the world.”

He added that “the timing of this conference is phenomenal and gives a chance to talk about opportunities, share our ideas, prepare our industry for the next part of the journey that will drive growth and trade.”

Mr. Marsham also spoke during the second day of the conference about his insights on the promising prospects of the country’s bulk and breakbulk industry as the world continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nicolette Ong, MICT Commercial Head, presented the initiatives of ICTSI’s Philippine terminals, specifically pointing out upcoming developments, technology improvements and more seamless integration among ICTSI’s local business units.
