ICTSI Rio brings cheer to children in Caju

Brazil commemorates two special occasions every 12th of October:  the day of its patron saint, Our Lady of Aparecida, and Children’s Day.  This year, ICTSI joined the celebrations by organizing a toy donation campaign for children in a community in the Caju neighborhood near the Port of Rio de Janeiro.

With full support from employees, ICTSI Rio was able to collect and distribute more than 350 toys and bring smiles to children in the community. 

“On the day of the patron saint of Brazil, which is also the date for Children’s Day, our employees proved once again how very supportive and committed they are to building a better society.  Seeing a child smile is priceless, and so is having a supportive and proactive team,” said Roberto Lopes, ICTSI Rio Chief Executive Officer.

In addition to donating toys, ICTSI Rio also partnered with other port operating companies to spearhead activities for children like jumping jacks, reading and artistic makeup.

ICTSI Rio believes in the power of solidarity in building a better future.  Together, we are stronger.
