MICT’s bright lights captured from space

The Manila International Container Terminal outshines the bright lights of Manila as seen in this photo taken from the International Space Station by Astronaut Shane Kimbrough in October. The dazzling view of MICT was possible thanks to the terminal’s new LED lighting system that was installed this year. The LEDs offer five to eight times better lux levels and are more friendly to the environment compared to the traditional high-pressure sodium lamps they replaced.
