PICT celebrates International Day for the Eradication of Poverty with local communities

Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT), in collaboration with the Akhuwat Foundation, extended aid to families in neighboring communities to commemorate the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

The activity was aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and promoted inclusivity as it welcomed transgenders who helped pack gifts for the community.

Providing clothing materials and gifts, PICT encourages its employees to be empathetic to their fellow community members.  PICT employees from cross-functional teams also volunteered as their way of positively contributing to the betterment of society.

“PICT employs a focused approach for societal upliftment and continuously takes initiatives to elevate partnerships with different communities, especially those surrounding the port. With our CSR programs, we intend to share moments of happiness with deserving community members and help them move forward positively,” said Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT Chief Executive Officer.
