Pakistan International Container Terminal is continuously taking initiatives to encourage the youth to pursue a career and navigate their way towards their professional aspirations.

Over the years, the company has implemented several programs to provide learning opportunities to deserving students through needs-based merit scholarships, employability skills campaigns, internship programs, regular educational visits.

Giving students the opportunity to receive quality education at leading academic institutions, PICT has leveled up its scholarship program in line with cooperative education to give students access to platforms for practical exposure, applied industrial projects and other necessary educational resources.

“PICT believes that education is the catalyst for empowering future generations to uplift society and the economy. By investing in the youth’s education, we intend to make a positive impact on society, especially our host communities,” said Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT chief executive officer.

Recently, PICT received a commendation from NED University of Engineering and Technology Vice Chancellor Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi for its vision for youth development centered on raising the educational standard for the youth. PICT is collaborating with the university – one of the oldest institutions in the country for training engineers – on a graduate program for deserving students.
