BGT staff share Iftar meal packs with truck drivers

Muslims around the world celebrate the holy month of Ramadan by spending time with their families and loved ones.  At the Port of Umm Qasr where work never stops, BGT took the opportunity to give back to the unsung heroes of trade – cargo truck drivers who also work nonstop to deliver containers and keep the supply chain moving.

BGT staff donated time and effort to prepare a humble Iftar meal pack consisting of drinks and snacks for truck drivers to help them hydrate and remain energized after a full day of working under the sun.

Each meal pack was wrapped and came with a message of gratitude from BGT staff recognizing the truck drivers’ dedication to their work.  The Iftar meals were then distributed to the drivers at the terminal as the mosques were about to chant the call for prayer announcing the end of the day’s fast.
