CGSA extends free storage period for exporters

Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) is offering exporters 10-day free storage in support of Ecuador’s efforts to reduce the economic impact of the pandemic on the production and manufacturing sectors.

The extension of the free storage period should give exporters additional competitive advantage and flexibility to plan the production and transportation of their products.  The measure has been in effect since 19 March, and will last until 16 May.

In light of the current health emergency situation, CGSA has and continues to implement all necessary measures to safeguard the welfare of its workers and port users and to ensure the continuity of its operations. The Company remains steadfast in its commitment to ensure the unhampered movement of trade across the supply chain.
