CMSA earns ESR mark for social inclusion
Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) was among the Mexican companies to receive the ESR 2020 recognition at the XIII Latin American Meeting of ESR (Empresa Socialmente Responsible or Socially Responsible Companies) last May.
The award, given by the Mexican Center for Philantrophy (Centro Mexicano Para La Filantropia or CEMEFI) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE), recognizes the Company’s social responsibility efforts that positively impact the environment, generate respect for people, promote ethical values, and encourage social inclusion.
“It is an honor to achieve this recognition, which would not have been possible without the support of our collaborators and their empathy towards the Manzanillo community. Thank you for your contributions. Let’s keep going!” said Fortino Landeros, CMSA Chief Executive Officer.
One of the keys to earning the recognition is ConVIVE Manzanillo, which was launched in 2019. The community support program promotes sustainable development by empowering women and creating harmony across the community.
The ESR Distinctive signifies an organization’s commitment to society including compliance to legal, labor, environmental, ethical, and social obligations. Companies who earn the ESR mark undergo a process of self-diagnosis based on 120 indicators developed by a review committee.
