CMSA opens door for female stevedores
Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) believes that women, given equal opportunity to work and demonstrate their capabilities, can become vital contributors to the operation of ports.
In March, CMSA welcomed to its ranks the first female stevedores at the Port of Manzanillo. The move, done in coordination with CROM, serves as a milestone in the Company’s efforts to promote diversity, inclusion, and women’s empowerment.
The Company supports its newest members, who have shown exceptional dedication and willingness to learn and work alongside their male colleagues in the inspections area. Hopefully, this development will encourage more women to consider employment opportunities in the port industry and progressively shape the landscape of the port environment.
