CMSA welcomes first female tractor operator
One year ago, Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) took on a more dynamic approach towards gender inclusion in the workplace by creating new roles for women and providing them with opportunities to advance their personal and professional development.
Encouraging more women to explore careers at the port industry, CMSA is proud to have its first female terminal tractor operator – Gloria Tolentino, a young woman who strove to develop her skillset and meet the requirements of her role. She joins the Company’s growing rank of highly capable female workers to prove that women also have what it takes to perform critical roles at the terminal, including the skillful operation of heavy machinery.
For CMSA, it is a great achievement and source of pride to have Gloria as part of its highly capable team of contributors who advance the role of women in a male-dominated work environment. The Company is hoping that her example empowers more women to demonstrate their capability and take on traditionally male roles not only in the port industry, but also in society.
