ICTSI Foundation scholars cited for academic excellence

The learning challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop ICTSI scholars from achieving another outstanding academic performance in the past school year.

Fifty-four high school scholars finished at the top of their respective classes, with 36 students receiving Academic Excellence Awards with Honors and the remaining 18 receiving Academic Excellence Awards with High Honors.  Among them, three were recognized for achieving the highest honors:  Julian Paul de Jesus from Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School in Manila, and Bea Aubry Concha and Vience Jhon Banzali – both from F. Bangoy National High School in Davao.

All of the Foundation’s 15 college scholars made the Dean’s List at the end of the second semester.

No recognitions, however, were given to junior high school students as per the Department of Education’s memo regarding the pandemic.

Senior high school scholars are now ready to start their college journey in state universities and colleges for the Academic Year 2021-2022. Ninety junior high school scholars were also promoted to Grade 9.

The ICTSI Foundation supports the Commission on Higher Education’s Flexible Learning approach and the Department of Education’s Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan, and is providing its 175 scholars nationwide with laptops, broadband connectivity devices, and internet allowance.
