MICT secures triple ISO certifications
Last December, the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), officially received ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications after passing the strict audit conducted by Socotec Certification International.
Compliance to the Integrated Management Standards (IMS) Quality Management System (ISO 9001: 2015), Environment Management System (ISO 14001:2015) and Occupational Safety and Health Management System (ISO 45001:2018), ensures that MICT operates with high-level quality of service, strong customer focus, robust health and safety management of workers and stakeholders, and environmentally sound and improved overall performance.
The IMS team, composed of representatives from various departments, underwent awareness and internal audit training, and conducted planning meetings, risk assessment workshops, and documentation review. They were supported by MICT’s Management Committee members in the development and implementation of the IMS.
MICT, as part of its commitment to the LIFT (lead, instill, foster, and train) principle, shall continue to operate and comply with all applicable laws and regulations to meet and exceed customer expectations.
