New Cabotage service starts in Tecon Suape
Tecon Suape recently welcomed the inaugural call of a new cabotage service at the Port of Suape – the Northeast Express Connection (NEXCO), which connects the southeast and northeast regions of Brazil.
NEXCO is the third cabotage service launched by Mercosur Line, a member of the CMA CGM Group. The service calls the ports of Santos, Salvador, Suape and Itaguaí, and is operated by the 1,700-TEU capacity CMA CGM Aristote. With a complete rotation of 10.5 days and wide multimodal connectivity, the service offers better transit time, intermodal efficiency and reduced carbon emissions.
Tecon Suape’s inclusion in the NEXCO’s service rotation contributes to the growth and development of the Port of Suape, the State of Pernambuco and the entire northeast region of the country.
