PICT rolls out digital payment solution
Pakistan International Container Terminal has launched a digital payment solution for stakeholders as part of its business continuity solutions during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Leveraging the latest technologies to streamline its business processes, PICT–through its digital payment channel–aims to enhance the ease of doing business for its client base, carriers, and trade partners.
The platform lets stakeholders transact remotely and sends notifications to transacting parties, making each transaction more secure.
“With the roll out of digital payment platform, PICT aims to provide its trade partners with unrivaled solutions and strengthen sustainable logistics. We continually seek to refine our process to provide customer-centric services endorsed by our corporate allies. During these unprecedented times, we are on our toes to help uplift the country’s commerce and reinforce economic growth,” said Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT Chief Executive Officer.
Aside from speeding up transactions, PICT’s digital service is cost-effective and eliminates physical interaction between customers and staff, which is a step in the right direction considering the current pandemic.
PICT is also integrating electronic document submission to its digital solution to make the process more efficient for all stakeholders. Through these digital initiatives, PICT seeks to further strengthen commercial ties with its clients by providing them with simple, cost-efficient, and easy-to-use service platforms.
