TecPlata, Argentine embassy ink accord to promote Argentine exports to Brazil

TecPlata, International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) subsidiary in Buenos Aires, has entered into a cooperation agreement with Argentina’s embassy in Brazil to promote Argentine exports to the neighboring country. 

By signing the agreement, Argentina’s embassy in Brazil becomes an important logistics partner to the Port of La Plata and Argentine exporters. The partnership aims to help Argentine products reach Brazilian ports more easily through several measures, which include discounts on port costs for exporters. The agreement could also potentially help revive Argentina’s export businesses.

The memorandum was signed by Bruno Porchietto, TecPlata CEO, and the Honorable Daniel Scioli, Argentinian Ambassador to Brazil. It was witnessed by Jose María Lojo, La Plata port president; Leonardo Cabrera, Argentinian Undersecretary for Ports, Waterways, and Merchant Marine; Agustina Propato, Buenos Aires senator; and directors from TecPlata and Brazilian shipping company LogIn.  

Held in TecPlata at the Port of La Plata, the signing ceremony was also witnessed virtually by Minister Rodrigo Bardoneschi and Secretary Ana Julia Gutiérrez Tellería from the Economic-Commercial Section of the Embassy of Argentina in Brazil; Martín Deltin, Reconquista Port president; and Carlos Arese, Santa Fe Port president.
