YICTL welcomes Qingdao-Yantai Feeder Service
Yantai International Container Terminals Ltd. (YICTL) welcomed China Master Logistics’ (CML) new Qingdao-Yantai Feeder Service to the Port of Yantai last 28 August, bringing the total number of feeder service calls between YICTL and Port of Qingdao to five per week.
The new service offers value to exporters who stand to reduce their logistics cost, especially during this time of pandemic, by utilizing lower cost feeder services instead of relying on long-distance land transportation.
A ceremony was held to commemorate the launch of the new service, marked by the maiden call of Yuan Da Fan Rong–a 700-TEU multipurpose container vessel built and operated by CML. YICTL handled a total of 919 TEUs during the call–332 TEUs discharged and 587 TEUs loaded–setting a throughput record high for the Yantai-Qingdao feeder route.
